Gun control, in other words, predates guns. Those who seek to dominate others have attempted to disarm them throughout human history; it is a natural act, because those who are armed obviously have control over those who are not. More often than not those who seek to disarm civilians have succeeded, and because of those efforts history is filled with slavery, atrocities, genocides, and other cri...minal acts, that took place because the victims had been disarmed and so couldn't fight back. Whether or not naive people can be convinced that gun control is a good thing or a nice thing, or that nice people are for it, this is its true legacy, and its true definition.
Even at its best gun control is an act of intolerance; it is not justifiable, legally or morally. It is not based in truth and it is not based in a misguided perception of truth. Even among those who naively swallow the absurd lies of gun control, it is an attempt to force their belief system on those who do not agree with them. So they are not nice but misguided people; they are self-righteous bigots. And because of the human suffering they have caused throughout history, they are among the most morally inferior of all bigots.
